Making changes to your life isn’t a whole lot different than making changes to your house. Think about what you’d like changed, figure out what making that change will cost in time, money (or other forms of cost), and labor…then decide, based on your new information, whether it’s worth pursuing or not. If the answer is yes, start praying, planning, budgeting, and building.
There was a lot of cost involved when I moved away from Pennsylvania (and everything I’d ever known) and came here to Tennessee (a place I’d never been and knew virtually no one). There was a financial cost, but there was also an emotional cost, and some physical cost…but it was all worth it… every single bit of it.
Of course, my move was prompted by the Lord, but I was eager to do it. An adventure with God sounded exciting, and I was desperately seeking something that would make this life worth living. You may not be quite where I was…but that doesn’t mean your reasons for wanting change aren’t just as valid and worth pursuing.
If you are at the junction where your life crosses the need for reconstruction, what would it hurt to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) and brainstorm on changes that would enhance your life? After all, it’s YOUR LIFE right….why not make it into something you enjoy and feel good about?
God bless, and as always, thanks for reading!
